5 Reasons Why Book Bloggers are Pretty Much Batman

Wow, Bree, you’re thinking. Your theory makes no sense whatsoever!

Pssh. Sure it does.

Here’s why. Continue reading

If I Don’t Read These in 2016… Get Furiously Angry at Me!

We haven’t even begun, and I’m already profoundly ashamed in myself, thinking about all of the books that will show up on this list. Ugh.

Well, it’s always nice to start off on a good foot.

1.days of blood and starlight

I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone in February of last year, I think. So, gaaahhhh, it’s been almost a year.

I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone! I finished it and then I was so excited to pick up the next one… and it dawned upon me just how immense Laini Taylor’s books are. It was a scary time.

I actually started Days of Blood and Starlight, but then there was an overwhelming amount of Zuzana. Don’t get me wrong, I love Zuzana, but there was no action at all.

Alas, I must try again this year. Continue reading

December Wrap-up and January TBR

I cannot process the fact that January is now upon us.

How did everything (yes, I mean you, Christmas break) pass by so quickly?

Ugh. Before I know it I’ll be thirty years old, stroking a pet llama, thinking it’s my long-lost pet dog gone rogue.

That’s just what happens.

But, for now, let’s get on with this whole wrap-up shenanigan.

I read a grand total of seven books this month. I FEEL ACCOMPLISHED. Continue reading

Bookish Letdowns of 2015

While there were so many books I loved this year, there were many I abhorred with a sort of passion, and even more that were so disgusting meh.

I’m sorry if I offend you or your opinions. I tend to channel my inner Dolores Umbridge on these kinds of posts.

In fact, I have a lot of big, scary feelings that are dying to get out right about now.

Let’s explore them, shall we?Ugh. This one.

That’s the last time I ever say, “Ooh, look at all that hype! It must be decent enough.” Continue reading

Best Love Interests of 2015

As a precursor of sorts, I’d just like to say: This is so hard!

I don’t know why all of the fictional boys have to be so attractive.

There’s like this unspoken universal rule.

Therefore, I can’t put any rhyme or reason to this list, as they’re all my babies, and I love them fiercely.

1. anna and the french kiss

Étienne is a puppy dog, with less fur and slightly less slobber.

Just like a little puppy dog, he can’t make up his God-forsaken mind. It’s infuriating, really.

But, oh, how attractive the boy is. Continue reading

The Forbidden Wish Review

There are just some books out there.

They tear open your heart.

Make you cry like a baby.

Laugh like a hyena.

Swear like a sailor.

They make you think.

They keep you up all night.

They leave your heart, your mind, your soul just a little bit heavier.

You don’t forget them.

And I know I won’t be leaving this story behind anytime soon.
